Below you find the itinerary for the full Southeast tour including the Czech Republic.

The shorter tour without the Czech Republic is identical up to day 30. Day 31 and day 32 add two amazing stopovers in Germany before we finally return the motorhomes on day 33. Your departure is on day 34.

Day 1

half-timbered housesWe pick you up at the Frankfurt airport and escort you to your hotel located in a wonderful medieval village near Mannheim. Enjoy a stroll through its ancient alleyways. Did you know that the very first car was invented nearby? Look forward to local cuisine as a welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 2

houses in HeidelbergIn the morning we have time to do some sightseeing of the area. This could include a visit to world-famous Heidelberg and its mighty castle. In the afternoon we introduce you to your motorhome and prepare it for the big adventure ahead.

Day 3

calm lake at sunsetYour road adventure begins with an easy drive to Upper Bavaria. Our campsite at the lakeshore views the awe-inspiring silhouette of the Alps standing out against the afterglow of sunset. And Romania behind them is still far, far away...

Day 4

German Alpine Road with mountains in the backgroundTake that, motorways! Be amongst those who master lesser-known parts of the German Alpine Road (Deutsche Alpenstra├če). You cannot feast your eyes enough on the magnificent mountain views and typical Bavarian and Austrian villages. We spend the night in the middle of the majestic Austrian Alps.

Day 5

lake with wooded mountain in backgroundIf the weather allows we take the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. Maximum altitude: 2,504 m (8,215 ft). A spectacular route including a side trip to the longest glacier in the Eastern Alps. Today's destination is a magic place in Slovenia. A relaxed afternoon walk with superb views from the local castle completes this day.

Day 6

castle in mountainWe go deep underground into the Postojna Caves, the world's second largest karst cave system. Your visit to this bizarre world starts with a spooky train ride. Another highlight of this day is Predjama Castle nearby, a castle built within a cave with an astonishing layout. And a lethal lavatory.

Day 7

people touching horsesWe visit the birthplace of the Lipizzan, bred here since the 16th century. Get acquainted with today's residents, who welcome petting and scratching. Next stop: Croatia. Walk along the coast of the Adriatic to explore the historical alleyways of today's destination, then savor a delicious dinner at the beach with stunning views.
