Bonnie Scotland

2024: Late Spring
We will publish the itinerary, a tour map and prices by June / July 2022.
Fàilte gu Alba! Welcome to Scotland!
Our friends the musicians have tuned their instruments and the logs for the caber toss competition have been carved. Immerse yourself deeply into the Scottish culture and tour a legendary country that is much more than just Edinburgh and Loch Ness. Discover slowness on winding single track roads through the Highlands, where you can experience a silence not from this world. Get to know historical places with local tour guides, celebrate with locals, listen to bagpipes and try Haggis - if you are brave.
Altogether, this tour is a fascinating mix of nature, wildlife, culture, music and Celtic tradition as well as stunning drives. Your adventure starts and ends in Germany. Expect a medieval village at the doorstep of your hotel and pretty stopovers en route.
You will...
… drive single track roads through the breath-taking Highlands. You become part of the cosy local pub life and traditional live music without feeling like just a tourist. You discover vibrating Edinburgh and explore mystic castles in the middle of nowhere - or in the middle of beautiful lochs. You attend the famous Highland Games and, of course, view a whisky distillery from inside. Nessie and the Queen are also waiting. Will we meet them personally?
You stop at the mysterious Rosslyn Chapel, famous as one of the backdrops of Dan Brown's novel "The Da Vinci Code". Let's see what is true and what is fiction. You tour the rugged Cuillin Hills on Skye, often used as a training area even by hardened alpinists and drive along the panoramic "Road to the Isles" with the Glennfinnan viaduct you might have seen in the Harry Potter movies. Can't get enough? Then research a cave hidden in a cliff and its waterfall and feel the wild wind at the most north-western point of Scotland. And there are many more fascinating things to do.
See you soon in Scotland and lang may yer lum reek!
